Re: PSR J1719-1438 & The "Diamond Planet" [Addon]

You can include a Mass statement, but Celestia ignores it. If you include a Mass statement, it would be just to help people understand the values of the parameters that Celestia does use. In particular, the correct values of Period and SemiMajorAxis have to be calculated by you. Selden all correctl...

Re: PSR J1719-1438 & The "Diamond Planet" [Addon]

The addon turned out very nice  , but not completely scientific. PSR 1719-1413 is a neutron star and they are extremely hot and the object identified as PSR 1719-1413 is very close to its companion (0.004 a.u) and makes a full turn in 2 hr 10 min. This means that the exoplanet is at a distanc...

Re: Celestia 1.7.0 Development will begin soon

I'll gladly help with updating the exoplanet catalog. It desperately needs updating. This is true. But in addition to extrasolar planets catalog updates requires the same and their individualization. In modern Celestia planet outside solar system very templates and it's time to fix it. omega13a , I...

Guys, could you post some pictures from Space Engine ? I don't think we could use it on OS X. Here we go... OK. Chuft-Captain , I agree with you. I, too, as seen so far this is the best approach to program development.

Re: A glitch in the addon

This problem might be caused because you have specified a SemiMajorAxis of 568700 AU. That is more than 1 Light Year. (1 LY = 63240 AU.) Celestia has problems drawing an object when you specify that it orbits more than 1 LY from its star. (You also left out the leading { of the SSC. I assume that's...

A glitch in the addon

I make a collection of add-ons to interesting objects in our galaxy. Tired of the catalog Corot I decided to see something else. interested Gamma Perseus, as it eclipsing binaries, as well as tests have RV signals. It is known that the system is heavily ekstsentrichna.Tak I made a series of calculat...

Re: Planet b around proxima centauri !

At best I think it would probably be home to extrememophiles. It is this and really would like to, but alas, most likely in reality it is a lifeless desert. I still doubt the life of the chromospheric activity of red dwarfs. It's like living next to a nuclear bomb  . But in any case this is a ...

We already need to make an addon for this ! This is too great to miss in Celestia ! I'm pasting a template here. Currently, I don't have time to make it all yet. OK Cham. Re: Pictures from Celestia

VF2_Rolf what is the first screenshot? A nebula or a comet? I looks amazing FarGetaNik, alas, I hasten to disappoint you, but it probably is the nebula NGC 2261 http://celestiamotherlode.net/catalog/show_addon_details.php?addon_id=551 Author presented here just liked it objects to Celestia.
